Bike Smart Easton aims to educate children in grades Kindergarten through 8th Grade, about how to be smart when riding their bicycles.  Funded by PennDOT, Bike Smart Easton is coordinated by Coalition for Appropriate Transportation (CAT) ( and administered by the City of Easton, Pennsylvania.  The program utilizes professional bicycle instructors to educate and motivate children to treat bicycle riding with respect, as bicycles on public streets are treated as vehicles.  It is also a goal of this program to inspire children to ride their bikes to be physically active and to lead healthy lives that can connect the Lehigh Valley by pedal power.
